XPANTILE

A NEW EXCLUSIVE ROOFING MATERIAL

XPANTILE
Xpantile has a triple finish: two layers of lacquer with a layer of sand sandwiched between. A new exclusive roofing material with all the great qualities of Xpantile Roofing.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Xpantile is a roofing material made of pressed, coated steel plate, having the appearance of roofing tiles, designed for roofs with a slope of 12, and down to 10 with sidelap sealing and stitching.

The sheets are formed to look like a number of singly cambered roofing tiles. The sheets are manufactured from 0.5 mm steel plate.

Finish 1.

Hot-Dip Zinc galvanised on both sides, min 275 g/m2

Finish 2.

Upper surface is primed , then lacquered, coated with a layer of sand and lacquered again. The undersurface is protectively lacquered.

PRODUCT RANGE
Xpantile is available singly cambered and in standard lengths:

3-tile length 1.125 metres
4-tile length 1.475 metres
6-tile length 2.175 metres
9-tile length 3.225 metres
12-tile length 4.275 metres

Standard Colours: Black or Red

The effective covering length is reduced by 75 mm when sheets are end lapped.

USE
Xpantile can be used both in new buildings and when renovating old roofs.

CUTTING
Most suitable method for cutting Xpantile is a circular saw with our special hard metal blade. Regarding minor cutting, plate shears are sufficient.

MAINTENANCE
In order to ensure a long life for the roof, raw cut edges and mechanically caused damage must be painted over with touch-up paint.
We recommend periodic inspection of the roof.

INSULATION SYSTEMS

Liner Panel Insulation Systems For Use With Current Modular Building Techniques

A comprehensive range of insulation systems is available for any type of installation, including rigid board insulation, composite panels, all types of fibreglass and rockwall.

Current industrial building practices place a major emphasis on the thermal efficiency of individual building components.

Permitted 'U' values for walls, roofs and floors exposed to external air supply to buildings in purpose groups II, III, V, VI, VII and VIII (0.45 w/m2 C recommended). Variation in 'U' values over a given area is acceptable providing the average value does not exceed the figure indicated above.
The thermal characteristics of steel alone will not meet this standard, therefore some form of secondary insulation must be provided.

PWS LINER PANEL INSULATION SYSTEMS
Many specifiers and contractors recommend a liner panel insulant system for complete thermal efficiency. The insulation can be non-rigid such as universal wool, fibreglass or rigid plastic foamed boards, and is sandwiched between the top sheet and the liner panel.

Highly expensive energy and the thermostatic control of today's heating systems have made necessary the use of higher insulation standards in practically all forms of industrial and commercial buildings.

A little recognised benefit of a successful insulant is its capacity not only to prevent heat escaping, but also by reducing solar heat gains during hot weather. The result is a more uniform temperature level throughout the year.

HANDLING
Protective gloves should be worn and the boards should always be carried on edge to prevent creasing of facing. Boards should be stacked with the white lacquered facings together.

PWS INTERNAL LINING BOARD SYSTEM FOR UNDER ROOF SHEETING OR INSIDE WALL CLADDING

The ideal system for agricultural and industrial buildings, PWS internal lining board simplifies the erection procedure by eliminating the need for a second skin and the usual glass fibre filling.

The internal lining board is simply sandwiched between the Roofing sheet and the 'Z' Purlin. A 'T' section support frame is used to link the panels together.

Liner board systems offer several features conventional insulation materials lack.

Features:

  • Liner boards provide a built-in vapour barrier on both surfaces of the board.

  • Liner board panels are light, durable and easy to cut.

  • Liner board panels achieve the required insulation values.

  • All internal surfaces may be pressure hosed for hygeine reasons.

  • Attractive white lacquered embossed aluminium finish.
